UK COVID-19 deaths rise by 621 as government promises extra £76m for abuse victims

In the daily coronavirus press conference, Communities Secretary Robert Jenrick said UK deaths have risen to 28,131 – and announced extra funding to help domestic abuse victims. He confirmed that Prime Minister Boris Johnson would provide more details next week about how the UK will be moving forward now that the country has passed its peak. The number of tests carried out yesterday was 105,937.
